WHAT IS STUBBORNNESS?
Stubbornness can be referred one of the characteristics of a person, who is stick towards his saying and doing, bound to follow what is inside his/her mind.
In the same way when the child is unwilling to obey anyone, in the habit of refusal and non-changing behavior towards anything can be termed as a stubborn child.
Kids at every stage of their growing age find developments and different changes. They are in the stage of exploring and experiencing new things and ideas. When it comes to a stubborn child he/she considers himself/herself perfect and doesn’t let his/her mind to accept any other thing which comes outside from his/her mind. For Example, when a child is making
himself/herself wet in a cold weather and when his/her parents stop him/her, he/she feels that he/she is doing the right thing and there would be not harm in doing that thing.
It is quite difficult for the parents of a stubborn child to deal with their kid because when he/she is committed to some task he/she will not move back until it doesn’t reach towards result. But it is not impossible to handle the situation to make their kid calm and peaceful.
Now we discuss about the characteristics of a stubborn child:

• Want to be heard and acknowledged all the time.

HOW TO HANDLE STUBBORN KIDS
1. USE DISTRACTIONS
You must have the ability distract your children from their stubborn behavior in a very positive way.
2. STOP ARGUE
Don’t give the opportunity to argue, as the stubborn child is always ready to face argument. Instead of this try to convert argument into conversation. Try to listen your child with calmness as a result, they will start listening you as well.
3. MAKE A CONNECTION
Try to make a connection with your child. May be his/her stubbornness is the outcome because of lack of attention.
4. MAINTAIN A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT
Your child must feel happy and comfortable. If he/she doesn’t find peaceful environment, it will tend to increase his/her stubbornness.
5. TRY TO FIT INTO YOUR CHILD’S SHOE
You must understand the situation of your child and try know the reason of that unacceptable behavior. By doing this you will be able to understand your child in a better way and will get the chance to resolve the main problem.
6. SET ROUTINES
You must set the daily and weekly routine for your child to make him/her feel comfortable in all aspects.
7. SET RULES AND GIVE REWARDS
You should set some rules and regulations for your stubborn children and ask them that they will be rewarded if they follow the rules and regulations set by their parents.
8. OFFER LIMITED CHOICES
Offer your child limited choices or options in order to keep your child safe from confusion.
9. DO NOT SAY NO
Never say “no” to a stubborn child .Instead of this you can reply by saying, ok I think there is another way to do this in a better way, will you get agree. By doing this your child will not feel to be rejected will get agree with you as well.
To deal with a stubborn child is not an easy task. Different ways can be found helpful to reduce the stubbornness of a child. Parent have to play very important role in order to bring stability among their child`s behavior. By using different behavioral tools this difficulty can be overcome with ease.
